Crossroads Fellowship ‘The EveryONE Initiative’ FAQ
-
A. We believe God is calling us to reach more people for Christ. We want First to be a place where more people—in any season of life and from any background—can find God and find their place in a God-focused community. The reality of our campaign starts with me, when I ask God, “Who do you want me to love like Christ loves me?” As each of us asks God for His grace and power to work through us, we will reach people with the Gospel of Christ and see them grow in grace and joy and love.
-
A. We want every person who walks through the doors of Crossroads Fellowship to have the opportunity to hear God’s Word, to experience Him personally and know Him deeply. To accomplish this, At Crossroads, we are planning a series of updates that will strengthen our ministries and ensure our facility continues to serve people well. These efforts focus on improving safety, accessibility, and reliability throughout the building, investing in leadership to better support children, students, and young adults, and refreshing our spaces so they are welcoming and well cared for. Together, these changes remove barriers to ministry today and help position Crossroads to faithfully serve future generations.
-
A. After seeking wise counsel and spending much time in prayer, the leaders of Crossroads Fellowship created a plan of how we believe God is calling us to help more people take their next step on their journey toward God. In addition, the leadership of Crossroads Fellowship worked with a group of people who help churches develop an organized approach to accomplish their vision. As a team, we were able to gain clarity on what we believe God is calling Crossroads Fellowship to do over the next two years.
-
A. The Oversight Board sat down and prayerfully sought guidance on what projects are needed to keep our facility in a good condition and growing ministries God has entrusted us. As these projects were prioritized, safety was placed first, while also giving strong and intentional focus to discipling all generations—ensuring our spaces and leadership support the spiritual growth of everyone God brings to Crossroads.
-
A. Yes and no. In order to complete the prioritized projects, we will need the budgeted amount. As the initial “first fruits” funds become available from the campaign, we will commence each project in the priority established by the OSB.
-
A. At this point there are no plans to incur any debt. We will complete as many projects on our prioritized list as we can based upon the funds received.
-
A. As a board we analyzed tithing received over the past three years and determined that we cannot complete these significant improvements to our church structure with the normal tithing received. Therefore, in order to continue with our successful ‘Ones’ initiative we elected to initiate this fund-raising campaign.
-
A. Our desire is to fully launch projects based upon the Oversight Boards prioritized list. As pledges are received, we will determine the wisest first step. Target dates for all projects will be set after pledges.
-
A. We are planning for two years. After that we plan to include the additional staff in the annual budget.
-
A. Every day over the next few weeks, join us as we seek His direction. We can begin by asking God, “How do You want to use me to reach more people for Your Kingdom?” Each of us will be called to sacrifice for this project. He will guide us to the appropriate sacrifice of our time, talents, and treasures as we seek His vision for Crossroads Fellowship. All of us are going to have to pray like we’ve never prayed before. And we’re hoping that every person who calls Crossroads Fellowship home will give financially, beyond their tithe, to see more people know the love of Jesus. We need people who are willing to take a step of faith, out of their comfort zones, to serve, to respond, to however God is leading. Imagine if we all yielded our lives to God? How might our community and the world around us change? What might God do through us for the sake of the people He has placed in our lives? How might we be transformed personally? Please prayerfully consider what God is asking of you.
